Here are some guys perched on top of the arbor structure risking life and limb to install the cross pieces on top.

- The arbor, almost completed. All of the timber for this structure (and the decks and the mudroom) is cedar milled on-site from our own trees!

More of our beautiful arbor

- working on the built-in benches for the octagonal deck..

WOW! This is awesome!!!
What an amazing place! Looking forward to visiting when we get back from Japan~
Wow! This looks really incredible! I’m so thankful for the hard-working people who practically lived at Sierra Lodge this summer to make this possible.
Thank you brothers for working so hard. Many generations will thank you for all the hard labor!
Wow, that is some awesome construction! I love the louvers! (or, do I ‘louve’ them?)
And the huge deck!
Are we planning to get some trailing ivy for the arbor?
Thank you gentlemen! Wish I could be there to help build =)
I just got back from Sierra Retreat and had a great time sharing DT with Gracepoint & Waypoint brothers directors at the octagonal deck. That will be my favorite place when our church goes up for getaways and retreats…

All of this was done in 2 days by 18 guys!??! WOW! Amazing!
I guess this is how Nehemiah could build a wall in 52 days? =)
All the new decks and increased spaces remind me of the verse in Is 54:
“Enlarge the place of your stretch your tent curtains wide,
do not hold back; lengthen your cords, strengthen your stakes”
…b/c there’s gonna be a whole lotta people trekking through these parts!
Thank you brothers for all the hard work!
It’s beautiful!
wow this is pretty amazing…thank you brothers for your labor and skills!
thank you brothers!! it’s so great that our church has a place for all of us to enjoy fellowship in nature
