  9. 10 akim August 16, 2008 at 8:15 pm

I would like to see more of 2 and 3, since we already have disgracepoint for humor.

  10. 11 Anonymous August 16, 2008 at 8:43 pm

    1 and 3

  11. 13 maurice August 16, 2008 at 8:53 pm

    Thanks for asking, P. Ed!

I’d like to see more of 3 and occasionally 4 – 4 being, some sharing about the lower points of your spiritual walk, struggles that you fought through, or perhaps have seen others fight through, that perhaps don’t even have a neat resolution, but that can help us be encouraged in and wrestle through our own struggles – or be more emboldened to share about them, having seen that others have gone through them too.

  12. 14 Anonymous August 16, 2008 at 8:57 pm

    2 and 3

  13. 17 Anonymous August 16, 2008 at 9:10 pm

3: more about how your experiences and life and how you’ve applied the Bible to them

  14. 19 Anonymous August 16, 2008 at 9:14 pm

    choice 3 and 2

  15. 21 Anonymous August 16, 2008 at 9:27 pm

I agree with Maurice. It would be nice to hear more about the “broken” side of you, more than the “I can’t wake up in the morning” type of struggles… I would find that refreshing and a way to know that you’re human like the rest of us. [...]

  16. 22 Anonymous August 16, 2008 at 9:29 pm

2 and 3. it would also be neat to see 4 – your hopes and visions for our church, maybe dreams of the different kinds of ministries you’d love our church to be able to do someday (like you sometimes mention in your messages).

  17. 23 jennifertse10 August 16, 2008 at 9:42 pm

Humor! I really like the TMI story about the cockroaches… haha. Devotionals & more about your life are my 2nd & 3rd choices.

  18. 24 ek August 16, 2008 at 9:44 pm

    1st choice: 3
    2nd choice: 2

    thanks!

  19. 25 esther August 16, 2008 at 9:46 pm

I prefer 3. Then 2. I love the stories from your childhood and your commentaries about various life.

  20. 26 Anonymous August 16, 2008 at 9:48 pm

    1 & 3 please!

  21. 27 kevan August 16, 2008 at 9:56 pm

    Pastor Ed, I like 1 and 3!!

  22. 28 sue August 16, 2008 at 10:15 pm

    definitely 2 & 3.

  23. 29 Anonymous August 16, 2008 at 10:30 pm

    1 About your life
    2 Devotion sharing
3 Other stuff (like story of mistakes you made, struggles etc)
    4 Humor

  24. 30 David Wu August 16, 2008 at 10:35 pm

I would vote for 2, 3 and 4 – 4 being similar to maurice – different struggles and low points and how you specifically got through them, how you experienced God, etc.
    Thanks!

  25. 31 Aunn Aunn August 16, 2008 at 10:36 pm

3 and 4 (What Maurice said.)

  26. 32 Eddie C August 16, 2008 at 10:41 pm

I think you should vary between the first 3. I think all of them, even the humor sections, are helpful to getting to know you better and learning what the actual life of an older and more mature Christian looks and looked like. And it’s also helpful for those newer to our church to get an idea of what kind of person and leader you are.

  27. 35 Anon August 16, 2008 at 11:32 pm

All 4, but love the DT sharing!

  28. 36 Mr. Tran August 16, 2008 at 11:38 pm

I totally like your funny stories!

And I also second Maurice’s reply.

  29. 38 Caroline August 16, 2008 at 11:47 pm

    1,2,AND 3 – but especially 2.

  30. 39 Jammy August 16, 2008 at 11:56 pm

    Devotion Sharing

  31. 40 jennys August 17, 2008 at 12:12 am

    1 & 2 please… :)

  32. 42 Anonymous August 17, 2008 at 12:14 am

all 3! I also like the idea of hearing about your struggles. it would help us understand what makes you who you are.

  33. 45 Steven L August 17, 2008 at 12:45 am

Hey Pastor Ed, I’d like to hear more about your life, struggles, thoughts, emotions, perhaps how God has changed you during those times. Thanks!

  34. 47 Anonymous August 17, 2008 at 8:58 am

    more about you please

  35. 49 Joyce August 17, 2008 at 9:21 am

    Hi Pastor Ed –
    3, please! :)

  36. 50 at August 17, 2008 at 9:29 am

i’d prefer 3, then 2. thanks for all your sharing!

  37. 51 eileen August 17, 2008 at 9:49 am

    2 – 3 – 4 (in no particular order)
4 – your thoughts on current events?

I think I don’t want 1 because we have mindless entertainment through disgracepoint. Like people go there looking for a laugh and not much more. But this doesn’t mean you can’t be funny or witty in your posts here :) I like DT sharings like “More and More” from Kelly SMN because it also gives the reader a look into her personal life, like her family.

  38. 52 lil August 17, 2008 at 10:15 am

    3. about your life, and 4. i agree w/ maurice about lows and how you’ve gone through them, and about personal visions that you’ve had throughout your life, like when you mentioned about youth church, or starting a school.

  39. 54 Anonymous August 17, 2008 at 10:38 am

    devotionals

  40. 56 fkim August 17, 2008 at 11:14 am

Hi Pastor Ed! I’d like to see all three (choices 1, 2, 3)! And for #4 Other – life lessons would be nice. Thanks!

  41. 57 Anonymous August 17, 2008 at 11:29 am

    2 and 3.

  42. 58 Anonymous August 17, 2008 at 5:17 pm

    2, 3, then 1

  43. 59 Anonymous August 17, 2008 at 5:45 pm

    3, then 2 or 1.

  44. 60 skim August 17, 2008 at 6:01 pm

    all of the above.
#4 – something along the lines of messages/sharings with us re: Xian living – what it looks like to honor God with our money, how to share the gospel with our co-workers, etc. I guess these would be woven into the other three, but maybe more on the practical side, and sharing from your experience in these areas.

    Thanks!

  45. 61 kc August 17, 2008 at 6:06 pm

THREE PLEASE – Like to hear about you, your life, your friends, etc.

And I agree w/ some other posts about your heart and vision for this church.

  46. 62 Anonymous August 17, 2008 at 6:11 pm

i’d like to see more of 3 then 2

  47. 63 Anonymous August 17, 2008 at 9:14 pm

    2 and 3 please.

  48. 64 Ariana August 18, 2008 at 12:02 am

    I second Maurice’s comment!

  49. 66 Anonymous August 18, 2008 at 8:59 am

    Devotion sharing

  50. 67 Danny O. August 18, 2008 at 9:33 am

Personally I want to hear more stories about your life. That would be my top choice. That’s probably the one thing that I can’t get from anywhere else. (#3)

    I also like Maurice’s suggestion. (#4)

Also if you post visions. Like things you would like to see done one day but can’t do due to lack of time / resources, but possibly one of us could take up that vision ourselves. That would be neat. (#4)

And of course I’m a big fan of the occasional joke or story. While we do have disgracepoint, I think any unique stories or jokes are still appreciated. =) (#1)

  51. 68 janice August 18, 2008 at 9:46 am

ditto maurice’s comment. voting for #3 and #4.
i find it especially helpful to hear illustrations during the message in order to understand some parallel or to process the message… maybe you could write general topics on life and christian race with those kinds of illustrations?

  52. 71 Anonymous August 18, 2008 at 10:24 am

    option 3

  53. 72 Allen August 18, 2008 at 10:31 am

    2 and then 3
    Thanks!

  54. 74 Anonymous August 18, 2008 at 2:04 pm

    definitely 1 and 3

  55. 76 Katy August 18, 2008 at 8:25 pm

    I would like 3, then 2. Thanks!

  56. 77 john ko August 19, 2008 at 10:59 am

Hi Pastor Ed, I vote for 3. I think hearing about your life and the wisdom, lessons learned, etc… would be great to read. I think there’s a lot of Devotion and Humor throughout your life. It’s kind of like the times you just share stories in the living room about your life and things you learned and even “how things used to be”.

  57. 79 Anonymous August 19, 2008 at 12:15 pm

    3 then 2

  58. 80 anonymous August 19, 2008 at 12:18 pm

    2 (first choice)
    3 (second choice)
you can include humor in your blogs :-)

  59. 81 Joel Letro August 19, 2008 at 3:28 pm

    1| About Your Life
    2| Devotion Sharing

  60. 82 Yoon August 20, 2008 at 10:06 am

Mostly 2 or 3 would be best.

  61. 84 Anonymous August 20, 2008 at 1:38 pm

    2 & 3 for me!

  62. 85 Anonymous August 20, 2008 at 3:58 pm

1, 2, 3, and 4 (diagrams/illustrations that are either insightful or humorous, like we occasionally see during your messages)

  63. 86 gina August 21, 2008 at 12:24 am

3! and 4 – maybe some commentary on current events…

  64. 88 emmeline August 22, 2008 at 3:34 pm

    Anything at all, Pastor Ed! 1, 2, 3, 4…

You are such a good storyteller, though, so I love any sort of stories you write, esp. the “immigrant experience” genre. :)

  65. 89 Fran Lopez August 23, 2008 at 11:54 am

2 and 3, I think they are both kind of related because its during Dt that you are able to reflect on your life. I am open to hear just whatever is on your mind I think what I enjoy the most is just the plain honesty whether it be a funny or painful story of your past.

  66. 90 Timothy Rhee August 27, 2008 at 8:47 pm

    1 & 2 for me

  67. 91 anonymous August 28, 2008 at 10:08 am

2 and 3. and day to day life lessons as you pastor Gracepoint FEllowship Church. thx!

  68. 92 Daniel Kim August 28, 2008 at 11:08 am

2! This can be an awesome resource for bible study teachers.
Then 1 – so that I can post more stuff on Disgracepoint Fellowship Church.

  69. 94 olivia* August 29, 2008 at 9:06 am

    3 > 2 > 1

  70. 95 joongwlee September 2, 2008 at 9:18 am

    Hi Pastor Ed,
I agree with Daniel (post more devotion sharings), but then, since everyone will be reading it, we Bible teachers won’t be able to use it!

  71. 96 spacelee September 17, 2008 at 9:35 pm

    in order of importance:
3 & 2- both help us know you better & teach us about life
1- because life is tough & a good laugh relieves stress & good humor is hard to come by..

  72. 97 anonymous October 29, 2008 at 8:19 pm

can you post more frequently, pastor ed?

  73. 98 a May 12, 2009 at 3:12 pm
